What do ISO accreditations mean?

ISO standards lay down strict requirements for good management practice in certain areas.

Western Hygiene is proud to have been accredited with two ISO certificates: ISO 14001 recognises the Environmental Management System we have in place and ISO 9001 testifies to our rigorous Quality Management System & a BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Health & Safety Certificate which recognises our commitment to the welfare of our employees & to every aspect of our dealings with the public.

While many ISO standards are specific to a particular product, material, or process, a small number have achieved global status and are now integrated with the world economy as 'generic management system standards:

  

BS EN ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Accreditation

This accreditation guarantees that Western Hygiene has a thorough and on-going review of its environmental performance and those of our manufacturers. Western Hygiene has made many changes which have not only reduced our pollution and waste, but also ensures we are more efficient.

These changes include:

 Building a modern, energy efficient premises

  • Harvesting and recycling water from our yard, roofs and wash-bay
  • Maintaining a fleet of fuel-efficient delivery vehicles
  • Sourcing quality environmentally friendly products with "cost in use" benefits for the customer.

  • Organising all activities to minimise waste
